Three Men and a Mama
With this active family, we went tromping through the fields and wetlands exploring. The boys ran and jumped. Mom and Dad followed behind the unceasing energy and movement exuding from their sons, as always. And all the while, the red autumn sun bathed us as it sunk behind the hills. Enjoy this look into a family's evening adventure!
Red October Engagement
I took a walk with Katie and James on a sunny and warm evening in October. And let me tell you, Red October is no joke! As the sun went down, we were engulfed in warm reds, oranges, and yellows. We ran to catch the sunset and landed out in the Sound. Katie danced- and got James to dance too! We laughed and got to know each other. I can't wait for their wedding! Enjoy this glimpse of our time together!
Harsh light… Low light… SCARY?
I recently took a photography class through the Define School called Movement and Light. It was so good, and I can say that I certainly grew as a photographer. I began the class with a generally nervous attitude about shooting in low light, especially indoors, and harsh, midday light. However, I pushed myself to shoot in this light over the past few weeks. I loved it and can sincerely say that I no longer find these lights scary. I want to embrace the shadows and find pockets of light. I will celebrate bright, sunny days and not worry so much about raccoon eyes. I am looking forward to this journey! So, here is a little tidbit of images I took and submitted. Enjoy! XO
